Instructor Eli Krantzberg begins with the fundamentals, covering the frequency spectrum and the relationship between frequencies, musical pitch, and harmonics to establish a clear technical foundation. The training then examines how filters function and how they shape sound, including low-pass and high-pass filters, band-pass and band-reject filters, shelving EQ, graphic equalizers, and parametric EQs. Additional lessons explore spectral processing and EQ matching tools, along with practical strategies for applying them effectively. In the “EQ in Action” section, Eli demonstrates how proper microphone placement influences EQ decisions when recording guitars, vocals, and drums.
