Instructor Doug Zangar guides you through the process of understanding how triads are built and how they sound in different positions and qualities. The course begins with the fundamentals of constructing triads and arpeggios before moving into listening exercises centered on root position triads. Major, minor, diminished, and augmented triads are explored in detail, with dedicated listening tests designed to strengthen recognition skills. From there, the training progresses to first inversion triads, followed by second inversion triads in their various forms. Each inversion is paired with structured listening tests to reinforce your ability to distinguish them accurately. The series concludes with mixed listening tests and final exams that challenge you to identify triads across positions and qualities.
