“MASSIVE X Explained®” delivers a comprehensive walkthrough of Native Instruments MASSIVE X. In this course, Larry Holcombe breaks down the synthesizer section by section, guiding you through its architecture and sound design capabilities. The training begins with an overview of the user interface and routing structure. From there, you’ll explore oscillators and wavetables, forming the foundation of patch creation. Additional lessons cover modulation, voice options, noise, amp and filter sections, insert effects, envelopes, Switcher and Random LFO features, and Trackers for mapping modulation to note values or pitch. Further topics include voice randomization, Performers for pitch- and velocity-dependent modulation, MIDI controller integration (Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel, Aftertouch), and using the 16 Macro controls for parameter assignments and multi-parameter control.
