"LUNA Explained®” delivers a complete walkthrough of Universal Audio’s LUNA DAW, focusing on its analog-style workflow and integrated production environment. Instructor Patrick Coffin guides you through the software from foundational setup to advanced recording, editing, and mixing techniques. The training begins with an overview of LUNA’s layout and navigation, including the Control Panel, View Modes, and essential session management tasks such as naming, organizing, importing, and saving tracks. You’ll also learn how UA Apollo interfaces integrate directly with LUNA for streamlined recording and monitoring. Recording is covered in depth, including monitoring options, cue mix setup, audio and MIDI recording, punch-ins, tempo and meter changes, and comping with loop recording and track versions. Additional lessons demonstrate time-stretching, compression across sections or full songs, and efficient workflow practices. The course continues with MIDI tools and instruments, Extensions such as console emulation and tape saturation, timeline editing and markers, buses and aux sends, plug-ins, metering, and mixing strategies. By the end, you’ll understand how to record, edit, and mix confidently in LUNA while taking advantage of its integrated UA ecosystem.
