AmpKit Reviews

1.0.5

It’s a great plugin: it offers excellent sounds, tons of settings, and runs very lightly. But it makes no sense that it doesn’t have the same online preset library as Tonebridge, given that they use exactly the same components—amplifiers, pedalboards, everything is identical in both. Yet there’s no option to sync your account and import from Tonebridge into Ampkit, which would be a huge plus. Even better would be the ability to search on Guitar Tabs and download the exact configuration for each song directly

Long story short. When i try to rescan plug ins in Audacity, it tells me to install the latest Steinberg activation manager first. click okay. 404 error when it redirects to the Steinberg website.

This is a solid amp sim! There are some good presets and it does big lead guitar solos really well. I like how simple it is to use in general. I don’t think you need it if you have Guitar Rig or another amp sim, but for the price it sounds good and works nicely!

Immediately crashes when launching in Reaper. Also, tried launching in a VST host but it immediately crashed too. Have not been able to try it out so I cannot review the sounds.
