SingleGrain is a granular synthesizer built around a single, continuous grain. One looping window of audio that you shape, stretch, and sculpt in real time. Load any sample, set your position, and the grain loops endlessly inside that window, responding to every parameter change instantly with no clicks or artifacts. Where traditional granular synths scatter hundreds of micro-grains to create texture, SingleGrain gives you direct, intentional control. Drag the playhead like a record on a turntable. Reverse the grain and watch it sweep backward through your sample. Lock the start position and reverse into it. Sync the grain length to your DAW's tempo and it locks to the grid, making rhythmic textures that never drift. Every parameter is modulatable. Three drawable LFOs, eight macro knobs, and a 32-slot modulation matrix let you route anything to anything. Modulate the LFO depth itself from another LFO. Zoom a modulation knob down to a hair-thin range for micro-movement. Resample your own output back into the engine and granulate the result. SingleGrain is a sound design tool for producers who want granular synthesis to feel immediate, not procedural. Sync Mode — Sync locks grain retriggering to the host BPM. No matter how Speed is set, grains always land on the beat — making it easy to build rhythmic textures that stay perfectly in time. Reverse & Lock Pos — Without Lock Pos, a reversing grain starts from where the previous grain ended, enabling smooth slowdown-to-reverse transitions. Speed shifts that starting point when Sync is on. With Lock Pos enabled, every grain always starts at the fixed Position marker regardless of speed or direction. Playhead for Vinyl Scratching — The Playhead behaves like a record on a turntable. Use this knowledge to create intricate scratching samples all with the click of a button! LFO Depth Modulation — Drag a grey (unassigned) LFO onto the depth knob of an active (red) LFO assignment to modulate that depth over time. Example: LFO1 controls Position at a quarter-note rate; drag LFO2 onto LFO1's depth knob at a 2-bar rate — the modulation intensity now rises and falls over 2 bars of rhythmic variation.
