Levels are totally out of whack. All brass instruments are really silent (just like real life, yeah?) compared to everything else. Playback is never quite on the beat, always a bit too loose and most of the time, note duration seems to be ignored. Although it is not part of muse Brass, muse Percussion is also unbalanced with some sounds being way louder than others.

Muse Brass Reviews
In order to have a wide range of brass instruments, it is necessary to have instruments such as french horn, baritone (or euphonium). Please :)
the mellow but powerful Euphonium sound is not captured through the standard musescore sample. We need Euphoniums in here!
It has great instruments but PLEASE add baritones and euphoniums
Please add Euphonium and Baritone this is really good but it would be much better if it had Euphonium and baritone
0.4.5
These instruments sound absolutely amazing! But I would love to see the Euphonium be added as I am a Euphonium player. My work-around to this was having a normal Euphonium and changing the sound to the Tuba.
As others have stated, this needs euphonium and needs baritones.
Great sounds but cimbasso is hardly used and euphonium is a very prominent brass instrument that just seems to be missing
Needs to have a euphonium, and the dynamics are wacky
Great orchestral instrumentation sounds but needs Euphonium and other brass variations.
The Trumpets almost seem to quiet to be Trumpets. Where is the Euphonium part? Tuba Higher octave works as a good Euph replacement but there needs to be a Euph part
Love these free sounds, but desperately in need of a dynamics fix considering every dynamic needs a manual tweak to bring up to a workable level.
I love the sounds but the dynamics are off where you can't get the right volume without having to tune it manually
Very good sounds, nice timbres and range across the instruments. Don't like the dynamics so much, either too loud in the trombones and horns, or too quiet in the trumpets. Also the lack of Euphonium and Baritone Horn, after all there is Cimbasso. Would like marching var. you could call it "Muse Corp" that would be nice.
Thank you for this free plugin which increase rendering quality of sheets. Human expressions in playing are impressive ! Just too bad, trumpets and trombones are too quiet under forte nuance...
Thank you for muted brass!!!
It's free, and sounds pretty good for and compared to the MS basic sounds it sounds like a real symphony, but I still have my complaints. Trombones are WAY too quiet below mf, and the dynamic jump from mp to mf is really extreme. Also there's little to no diversity in instruments if you're writing for anything beyond a basic orchestra, (euphonium, cornet, mellophone, etc), and some techniques are missing/janky (certain scoops/falls don't work, no growls, no audible gliss) Overall it's functional but it could use some work.
We need to fix the accentuated sustains for trumpets and trombones. Why can’t the cimbasso play its full range?
EUPHONIUM, PLEASE I’M BEGGING. No good soundfonts for euph exsist anywheres, it’s harsh that even cimbasso recieved an offical soundfont before euphonium did
This totally rocks, I think the Trumpets A4, Trombones A3, & Horns A6 could use another update to share the same ranges as their solo counterparts (Trumpet, Trombone, & Horn in F respectively) for more flexibility along w/ a Tuba section sound (same range as the solo tuba sound). Also the Falls, Doits, Plops, & Scoops should work on all notes of every length even if it's a single note (as well as on the final note of every tied note).
Compared to the defalt sounds, this thing should be monetised. It’s a ridiculously large improvement with much richer tones, improved control over sound, and just really awesome. Why are these not the defalt sounds for MuseScore?
I really love the soundfonts you guys used. Especially with the dynamics! Some things that could be improved are the style of articulations, inconsistent balancing among the brass, the range of the instruments, and the lack of a few important instruments. 1. Articulations for brass seem to be muddled and inconsistent, especially when I'm writing double tonging passages. It just seems like a mess of notes 2. The trumpet section is overall just too quiet. Even with the a4 soundfonts, i'm having to raise them up quite a bit, which overall ruins the ensemble sound that I personally look for 3. The instrument's range in the solo sound font is great, it captures the near full rane of the instrument. I suggest that you allow for an even broader sense of range, its lacking pedal tones, which ARE important aspects of the instruments range. The main problem is the section sound. The section sound (especially trupets) cannot go as high as I want and as low as I want (trombones). I think that expanding their range would allow for more expressive writing 4. The most important thing I wish to address is the lack of instruments in this sound font. The lack of baritone and euphonium sound is concerning when I think of orchestral brass. And on another tangent, the lack of marching brass (mellophone, marching baritone/euphonium) also concerns me because I compose with the perspective of a drum corps. Trombones do the job, but they are just too loud and the tone doesn't match what I look for when I want a baritone or euphonium. Overall I love this sound found, but there is still some work that needs to be done for it to be perfect. Thank you for making this sound font, and I hope my suggestions will make it to your team!
I enjoy thew muse brass but some things are left out. There should be a3 players for tuba and cimbasso a big band needs a big sound for tubas it needs more players. There is a few instruments that are left like a fluegelhorn baritone and a bass trumpet. But overall, these sounds are fantastic
In general all the brass is unbalanced in terms of dynamics, but the trumpets sound is so bad. Is not realistic and it dosn’t sound like a trumept. Please fix that.
