- Improved Bartok Pizz implementation
Description
We set out to record both sectional and solo strings, performing an in-depth palette of articulations with a modern yet expressive playing style and recorded with great studio gear. After almost a year of painstaking sessions, recordings, editing and programming Muse Strings is ready to take your compositions to new levels of realism. The collection is designed with a consistent set of articulations across all sections and instruments. Expressive sustains, true legato, portamento and fast run samples bring your melodic lines to new heights. Trills have been recorded up to a perfect 5th, which can add a wonderful colour to your score. There’s an array of short notes, with speed controlled staccatos and staccatissimos, pizzicatos (including snap/Bartok pizz) and col legno to add energy and motion into your composition. Marcatos, accents, senza vibrato sustains, as well as sustains played “sul tasto” and “sul ponticello” round out this impressive collection. From energetic action sequences to romantic scenes, Muse Strings brings emotion and realism to your score.
Muse Sounds require no set up or effort to work with - simply write your music and push play.
Best of all, Muse Strings is completely FREE for you to use in your compositions.

Ensemble Violins 1, Violins 2, Violas, Cellos and Basses
For a free sound it's pretty good. Wouldn't pay for it.
I can hear some difference whatsoever, but the difference is so minimal that this is definitely not worth 5.5GB on your hard drive.
Also add in solo contrabass

The solo instruments don't sound as realistic as I would want them to be and the dynamics of the ensemble are a mess on the lower end (especially for the violas). The cellos are too loud during Piano passages and the violas are too quiet. This would be a problem if I had to pay for it but considering that these are free, all in all, Muse Strings really isn't that bad.
But for the love of god, please fix this.
The MuseStrings collection is horrible!! The basic strings are better if you’re looking for non-portamento, audible strings. The portamento on the paid version is truly awful, and even when you put it on classic phrasing, it sounds terrible. MuseHub, please fix this!
The pack overall is very good--but, there are some downsides with it. The intonation on some of the voices are very, very, bad. Adding to this, there is no 'Contrabass Solo' included in this, but there is a solo voice for every other stringed instrument. But if you ignore these factors, the pack is great.
I really love the sound of these strings! They sound really realistic. I’ve been waiting the muse sampler to open these sounds in my Daws too. Thank you guys!

I really like Muse Strings for writing for orchestras and string ensembles. However, I also write a lot for jazz bands and big bands, and I have a few suggestions for improvement.
1. Solo Contrabass Sound: I really miss having a solo contrabass sound with a good pizzicato option. This would greatly enhance my arrangements for jazz settings.
2. Mute Sounds: I noticed that the mute sounds for the strings are not included in the sound flag. I have to manually select them from the text palette, similar to the issue with Muse Brass. It would be more efficient if these sounds were integrated into the sound flags.
3. Playback Issues: Additionally, the strings do not seem to play tenuto when the mute sound is selected. I’ve also found that the Muse Brass sounds play accents in a way that feels unusual.
These enhancements would make Muse Strings even more versatile and user-friendly for composers working in jazz and big band settings.

The group strings sound nice, you have plenty of playback options as well, from nonvib to sul tasto, ponticello and even col legno. You can add a fair bit of color to your works with this.
If I had something to add, it'd be that the glissando is a bit... Well, it doesn't really work, to be honest. I'd love to see that in a future update, string legato is one of my favorites

The sections sound pretty good, exept for some parts on second Violins, and solo Instruments sound not quite as good as the should, but definitely better than the standard ones, fix that and it would be pretty much perfect.

Another cool upgrade this could use is to have proper tremolos on double (and multi-Note) Stops work correctly.
